Citrus Black Spot disease (CBS), caused by the fungus Phyllosticta citricarpa, is a serious citrus disease that can cause significant production losses and difficulties in accessing new markets. The disease occurs in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Ghana, Mozambique, Philippines, South Africa, Saharan Africa, Taiwan, the United States and Uruguay.
In 2019, the disease was declared in Tunisia in some citrus areas. The Tunisian authorities have taken action and implemented phytosanitary measures to stop its spread.
The purpose of this workshop is to present the Tunisian experience on measures undertaken to curb the spread of the disease or even eradicate it.
