The twelfth session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM 12) established a new International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) subsidiary body – Implementation and Capacity Development Committee (IC).
The IC, under the guidance of CPM, will develop, monitor and oversee an integrated programme to strengthen the phytosanitary capacity of contracting parties to implement the IPPC and meet the strategic objectives as agreed by the CPM.

The IC meets twice a year to address implementation and capacity development matters raised by CPM.
